Cops bust CK gang supplying drugs to entertainment outlets
KUALA LUMPUR: Police crippled a drug trafficking syndicate in the Klang Valley known as the “CK” gang following the arrest of three individuals.
They also seized more than RM4 million worth of drugs in two raids on Monday.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Mazlan Lazim said the Kuala Lumpur Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department arrested a couple, aged 29 and 30, in Jalan Kuchai Maju before raiding their home in Taman Salak Selatan here.
“Their arrest and interrogation led to the arrest of another man, aged 31, in a condominium in Petaling Jaya.
“Initial investigations found that the condominium was used for storing and packing drugs, including packaging multi-flavoured Ecstasy-laced drink powder into packets before being sent to entertainment outlets,” he told a press conference here today.
Police seized more than 51kg of suspected Ecstasy, 14gm of ganja, 473gm ketamine and 223gm Erimin 5 pills, which is the biggest drug haul so far and can be supplied to over 100,000 users.
The two male suspects tested positive for drugs.
“They are believed to have been operating over the past year, and police are tracking down the rest of the gang to curb drug trafficking around the Klang Valley,” he said.
The couple have been remanded six days from Tuesday while the other man was remanded for seven days from yesterday to facilitate investigations. -FMT
