Aircel lenders eye restart, new investors — report
KUALA LUMPUR (April 18): Malaysian tycoon Tatparanandam Ananda Krishnan-backed Indian telecommunications group Aircel Ltd's committee of creditors is considering an option to restart the firm's mobile phone operations in a few select circles and looking for funding from investors other than promoters, reported The Economic Times of India.
Aircel is 74% owned by Ananda's Maxis Communications Bhd.
Citing people familiar with the matter, the report said it was quite clear that the promoters will not be infusing any more cash.
