Disney Casts Jimmy Wong and Doua Moua in the Live-Action ‘Mulan’

Disney has announced their latest casting decision for their live-action “Mulan” film.

Jimmy Wong has been cast as Ling and Doua Moua has been cast as Po, according to Deadline, both endearing and comical characters from the original animated film.

Jimmy Wong, 31, is a Chinese American actor from Seattle who first became famous for his video response to a racist UCLA sorority girls titled “Ching Chong, It Means I Love You.” He has since been known for “Video Game High School” as well as his projects with some of the world’s biggest brands.

Doua Moua, also 31, is a Hmong-American actor born in Thailand and raised in Minnesota. He is best known for his role as Fong in Clint Eastwood’s 2008 film “Gran Torino.”

“Mulan,” which is scheduled to be released March 27, 2020, has so far cast Yoson An as Chen Honghui, Mulan’s love interest, Liu Yufei, as Mulan herself, Jet Li and Li Gong as the Emperor of China and a sorceress, respectively, as well as Donnie Yen as Commander Tung.
