Amber Heard withdraws request for spousal support from Johnny Depp

LOS ANGELES, June 15 — Amber Heard has reportedly withdrawn her request for temporary spousal support from her estranged husband Johnny Depp.

According to TMZ, Heard’s lawyers filed a declaration insisting that she only asked for financial backing because she thought it was the standard operating procedure in a divorce case.

Heard also wants to drop the request as she says it is distracting and diverting the public away from the very “serious real issue of domestic violence”.

Heard had initially requested for US$50,000 (RM 204,927) a month in spousal support when she filed for divorce in late May, but a judge denied it after granting her a temporary restraining order against Depp.

The spousal support issue was also up for hearing this Friday, where a judge will decide whether to extend Heard’s temporary restraining order against Depp.
