KUALA LUMPUR (July 26): The FBM KLCI retreated at the midday break today, as market sentiment turned tepid and sellers outpaced buyers.

At the midday break, the FBM KLCI shed 0.42 points to 1,762.92. The index had earlier risen to its intra-morning high of 1,766.70.

Losers led gainers by 318 to 251, while 486 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 668.66 million shares, valued at RM541.46 million.
