Rais' formula for Semenyih polls win: Close a toll, reduce fuel prices

Former minister Rais Yatim has offered his own formula for Pakatan Harapan to retain the Semenyih state seat in the upcoming by-election in March.
"Close one toll, reduce the price of fuel for Malaysian motorists.
"Keep up the pledges for Felda made before May 2018. Make buffer stock for rice, cooking oil and formula milk. Semenyih is won," the Negeri Sembilan Bersatu chief tweeted last night.
Rais' tweet comes following Harapan's loss to BN in the Cameron Highlands by-election last Saturday.
BN candidate Ramli Mohd Nor beat Harapan's M Manogaran with a majority of 3,238 votes.
According to Rais, the people do not like it when the government fails to keep promises made.
"The people don't like when promises are not kept. The Harapan leadership surely understands why it lost in Cameron Highlands," he said in the same tweet.
The Semenyih by-election will be held on March 2, following the death of assemblyperson Bakhtiar Mohd Nor on Jan 11.  -Mkini
