Umno reforming but Bersatu picking up our 'bad habits' - Annuar Musa

Umno splinter party Bersatu is picking up "bad practices" the former is trying to discard, said Annuar Musa.
"Now that they (Bersatu) are the party in power, the appetite has come back, you see.
"So I can see the culture in Bersatu is going to be very bad," the Umno secretary-general was quoted saying in the Malay Mail
The Keterah MP cited Bersatu vice-president Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman's call for contracts to be awarded to division leaders, in order to defend the party's position as a governing party, as an example.
Abdul Rashid's suggestion, made during the party's AGM, had received a standing ovation from the delegates.
According to Annuar, Umno was precisely attempting to rid itself of such "contract mentality", along with the perception that it was rife with money politics.
"For example, people perceive Umno as one that practises money politics, warlord politics, corruption.
“This, we must really clean up,” he told the daily, adding that the process of total reform, following its electoral loss in GE14, will be a drawn out one.
Meanwhile, he hoped internal party elections would help reform the party.
“One of the ways is the natural process of party election, and we hope the members choose leaders at different levels, with a new set of value system,” he said. - Mkini
