Alexander Skarsgard swings into action in new trailer for ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ (VIDEO)

LOS ANGELES, June 7 — Here’s another trailer for The Legend of Tarzan by Warner Bros that stars Alexander Skarsgard as the legendary king of the jungle. 

This new IMAX trailer reveals more of the ape man’s origin story with a bit more footage.

The official plot for the film reveals that “It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (played by Margot Robbie) at his side.

“Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.”

The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt and Jim Broadbent.

The Legend of Tarzan is set for release on July 1.
