Ramadan meals delivered to your doorstep
KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 — Convenience is now at our fingertips for Ramadan. Food entrepreneurs Root Cellar KL and Dish by Ili have launched their Buka Puasa Tiffin meals. The meals are only available for the weekdays though.
You have two choices for the meals (main and sides) each day that comes in small or large sizes. Some of their main dishes include items like Itik Confit Berempah Daun Kari and traditional dishes like Sambal Petai Udang or Daging Dendeng. Sides are items like Indonesian Gado-Gado and Sweet Potato Begedil. All the meals are served with sambal, salted egg (telur asin), tauhu goreng and dates.
The service is only limited to central Bangsar, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and One Utama areas. A deposit of RM30 is required for the tiffin, which is refundable when you return the tiffin. You can also provide your own tiffin. Cut-off time for orders is 5pm, the day before the delivery date and payment must be made before delivery. Healthy snacks provider Amazin’ Graze has also introduced their subscription boxes for this Ramadan. They are famous for their healthy nibbles and there’s about 35 varieties of snacks such as granolas, nut mixes and cookies to choose from. All the snacks from this local outfit are designed with nutrition and taste in mind.
The boxes are available on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis. These are not only good for you but perfect as thoughtful gifts for family and friends. Each box is RM24.90 (inclusive of delivery charges) and will be delivered to you at home or your office.
Currently, they are running their “Eat Healthy During Ramadan” campaign till July 3 with contests, health tips and free subscription giveaways. The campaign also includes an offer where your first subscription snack box will enjoy a 50 per cent discount.
Amazin’ Graze has also rolled out an assortment of new flavours for Ramadan. Nibble on nut mixes with flavours such as Satay Lemongrass or their Rendang Coconut. There’s also Sticky Date Granola, a combination of oats, dates, coconut, almonds and sesame seeds. For nibbles, there is their skinny cookies made with wholemeal flour, organic molasses and olive oil that is available in two flavours: pandan or rose.
For the Raya festivities, Amazin’ Graze has also partnered with Batik Boutique, an arts and craft social enterprise that helps low income Malay women, to create gift sets. These Raya themed sets combine Amazin’ Graze Ramadan snacks and Batik Boutique’s handmade tea towels, pouches and silk scarves and ties.
