HANOI, June 11 — Vietnam's state television news showed the search underway for missing British tourist Aiden Webb and the subsequent recovery of his body.

The 23-year-old's girlfriend alerted authorities he was in trouble after he messaged her on Facebook.

The message, sent after he left to climb a mountain in the north-west, said he'd fallen and was seriously injured.

An initial search by hundreds of soldiers and volunteers with sniffer dogs failed to find him.

Webb's body was later found near a cable car route nearly a week after he was first reported missing.
