Negri MB gives enforcers three months to crack down on cybergambling
He said this was to ensure that the state's announced measures against online gambling are properly enforced.
“Starting August 1, we will give a period of three months and I will monitor their KPI. If those activities have not lessened or still widespread, then I will discuss to have the district administration or local government strengthened,” he told reporters at the Wanita Umno Raya celebration.
“If they cannot perform, then we do something. Get someone who can perform better.”
On July 27, Kosmo reported Mohamad as saying his administration was cracking down on cybergambling in the state.
Businesses that flout the rules could be banned or have their utilities disconnected, he said.
