Malaysia's end-April palm stocks rise 3% m/m — MPOB
KUALA LUMPUR (May 11): Malaysia's palm oil stocks at the end of April rose 3% to 1.6 million tonnes from a month earlier, industry regulator the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said on Thursday.
Output for April rose 5.7% from March to 1.55 million tonnes. Exports increased 1.4% to 1.28 million tonnes.
A Thomson Reuters survey had pegged inventory levels to rise 6.2% to 1.65 million tonnes, and production to gain 8.8% to 1.59 million tonnes.
Exports were seen rising 3.2% to 1.31 million tonnes.
