This is how much prize money each Premier League club won in the most lucrative season ever

Antonio Conte won the Premier League title in his debut season in charge of Chelsea.

The record £5.14 billion Premier League TV rights deal kicked in during the 2016/17 season, meaning top flight clubs are poised to score record earnings this year.

Now the season is done, Sporting Intelligence’s Nick Harris has worked out exactly how much prize money each club will take home.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, and Liverpool were some of the best sides in England this season, but their earnings do not necessarily reflect where they finished in the actual league.

The earnings were calculated by adding up three things:

• Initial equal share fund — every side receives £84.4 million for competing in the Premier League
• Performance ranking — finish higher, earn more money
• TV revenue — the more a team’s on TV, the more revenue it receives

Here is how the Premier League money has been distributed in the 2016/17 season, ranked from least to most.

18. Hull City: £103.7 million (finished 18th)

17. Burnley: £107.6 million (finished 16th)

16. Watford: £108.5 million (finished 17th)

15. Swansea City: £109.5 million (finished 15th)

14. Crystal Palace: £115.2 million (finished 14th)

13. Stoke City: £113.3 million (finished 13th)

12. Leicester City: £120.9 million (finished 12th)

11. West Ham United: £121.9 million (finished 11)

10. West Bromwich Albion: £120 million (finished 10th)

9. Bournemouth: £123.8 million (finished 9th)
