Welcome to our weekly series "Cry of the Week," in which we highlight whatever moment made us ugly cry on our couches* the most in the past seven days. 

Crying over movies and TV is poignant and cathartic, and that still holds true if you're crying with laughter. Summer comedies aren't designed to be the kind of movies you'll buy on DVD and watch over and over for decades. They have one prime directive: To elicit laughs. As the first R-rated comedy of the summer (Baywatch was definitely spring and we will discuss it no further), Lucia Aniello's Rough Night is a riotous ride at the movies, and our first funny Cry of the Week.
