But as family, fellow musicians, and fans alike grieve, Petty leaves behind several iconic performances to remember him by.
Just weeks before his death, Petty had actually been on his Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour, performing his timeless hits to audiences in the U.S., England, and Canada for the past several months.
