DAP showing true colours by announcing ministers, says Najib

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Najib Razak says DAP’s move to announce two of its members as candidates for ministerial positions has shown its true colours.

He said the power to determine candidates for ministers lay with the prime minister, and asked why DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had made the announcement instead of Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) prime ministerial candidate Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“It is clear which party is really holding the power in PH. The rest are just followers,” he said on Twitter yesterday.

Lim had recently announced that Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming and Johor DAP chairman Liew Chin Tong would be made candidates for ministerial positions if they won the parliamentary seats of Teluk Intan and Ayer Hitam in the coming election. -FMT
