DENGKIL – Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Mohamed Hanipa Maidin advised former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to direct his lawyers to write to the authorities to give some leeway concerning the freezing of his daughter’s account.

Mohamed Hanipa said he had news that Najib’s daughter, Puteri Norlisa Najib, who had fourth stage cancer, had trouble paying for the chemotherapy bill as the account was frozen.

“If what is reported is true, I do not think there is a problem for the former prime minister to have his lawyers write to the relevant parties to withdraw a sum from the frozen account for the purpose of paying the bills.

“I’m not sure if he has done what I told him to. He can also write to me or Minister in the Prime Minister´s Department in charge of law Datuk Liew Vui Keong, ” he said at the Sepang parliamentary constituency Adilfitri do here tonight.

Mohamed Hanipa who is the MP for Sepang, said the matter would be discussed with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
