KUALA LUMPUR: A teacher at a tahfiz (religious) school has been arrested for performing oral sex on one of his students, a 14-year-old boy.

The victim allegedly refused the suspect’s advances at first, but later relented to avoid “hurting” the suspect’s feelings.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Hamzah Alias said they learnt about the case after the student went back to Johor and told his family about the ordeal on June 26.

“The encounters began in May this year when the teacher approached the 14-year-old boy and demanded to perform oral sex on the boy.

He said the victim allegedly allowed the act as he did not want to hurt the suspects feelings.

“They had five other similar encounters after the first time. We arrested the suspect at the school here on Wednesday and have remanded him until July 17 to facilitate further investigations,” said ACP Hamzah.

He added that the case was being investigated under Section 377C of the Penal Code for “committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature”.
