KUALA LUMPUR (July 5): Members of Parliament (MPs) from UMNO who quit the party must give up their respective seats and be willing to face any by-election, said UMNO president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

He stressed that MPs who contested under the Barisan Nasional (BN) ticket in the 14th general election did not win in their own capacity.

"The MPs must not get carried away with personal issues and throw the problems to UMNO, as if they have no faith in UMNO," he said after chairing the UMNO Supreme Council meeting at Menara Dato 'Onn yesterday.
