Sequel platform launches chatbots with personality
SAN DIEGO, June 3 — On June 2, developers announced that the Sequel chatbot platform has launched out of beta. The bot’s advantage over other competitors is that it promises customisable personae.
These days, content creators can engage with their users on a large scale with the help of chatbots — computer programmes engineered to simulate conversation, typically over the internet. Sequel has become the first platform to offer businesses a personal touch to their bots: a customisable personality. The platform has been designed for users to create the content and character of their choice through text, photo, video, audio, GIF, emoji, quiz and poll options.
For the meantime, Sequel is aimed at “engaging conversational personas for entertainment and media”, but the platform could be expanded to other industries. Omar Siddiqui, CEO of Sequel, explains in a press release that “the real opportunity for bots lies in connecting consumers to media and entertainment experiences with real personalities that have agency and style.” — AFP/Relaxnews
