RIP NAJIB & ROSMAH: MARIA CHIN’S ISIS BEHEADING A TIT-FOR-TAT FROM NAJIB CAMP OVER MOCK GRAVES FIASCO?
Rizal Mansor has supported Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah’s decision to file a police report on a doctored image of her being held hostage by a knife-wielding terrorist in a balaclava.
The aide to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor also said the police should investigate the matter.
However, Rizal wondered if the incident smacked of double standard.
In a Facebook post, he claimed previous participants at Bersih rallies made “mock graves” for the prime minister and his wife.
“I am curious and find it odd that Maria never made a sound (when this happened).
“What is worse is that some carried out a traditional Chinese funeral for (the prime minister and his wife).
“Why didn’t Maria Chin and (former Bersih chairperson) Ambiga (Sreenevasan) make noise when Bersih demonstrators displayed such rudeness and threats?
“Are you practising double standard?” Rizal asked.
Apart from Maria Chin, there were also similar doctored images featuring Ambiga and Bersih secretariat member Mandeep Singh.
The Bersih 4 rally last year drew flak from various quarters when photographs of participants stomping on images of Najib and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang emerged.
Though condemning the incident, Maria however refused to apologise.
Bersih is slated to hold another rally on Nov 19.
