You know the feeling when the pain so severe that you have to lie down all the time? It makes you sleep less at night? Almost every adult person has had neck or back pains at some point in their life.
It might be caused by hernia disc, degenerated vertebrae, stenosis of the spine and strained muscle. Also, there are many other injuries are factors too.

The back pain is acute when it is in a period of a month maximum and chronic that is the one that lasts longer than a month. Mostly, this pain is without any treatments and cures along. However, sometimes when it’s chronic, it needs more tests and more remedies.

Avoid carrying heavy loads and stuffs, and do not lift or tilt constantly. Heavy bags can also damage the spine and the joints and can even lead to injuries.
Similar things can happen to persons with small kids. When you take the child in your arms, crouch and lift it slowly with the thigh muscles, not with the back.
You have to remember to always bend the knees no matter what is the activity. Think of this when carrying bags, babies or when brushing the teeth.

The shoulders are special and delicate for the joints and they are leading many movements. Since they are that flexible and large, they are disposed to more damage. The soreness in the shoulders can occur due to:
- Fracture of the bone on the hand
- Unstable joints
- Stretching
- Dislocation injury
- Stiff shoulder
WHAT CAUSES SPREADING THE PAIN TO THE NECK?
The neck pain varies from acute, which lasts less than 12 weeks and chronic, lasts more than 12 weeks. There are many reasons that are capable for this and they might be:
- Damaged or stretched neck structures (muscle, ligament, tendon).
- Cramps and over-stretching, sitting all day at work, a lot of stress, bad posture when walking or sitting, less physical activities, bad sleeping position and much more.
REDUCE THIS PAIN AT YOUR HOME
You can help yourself by using hot and cold compress on the aching areas. You need to do this every 2-3 hours and also ensure that this compress method helps at least for a short term.
You can do some workouts for reducing the pain. Workout every day and move your neck muscles as much as you can in order to avoid stiff neck. Some neck workouts can really help for removing the chronic pain.
You can also try massages. This relaxes the muscles all the time! When you cannot go to some studio for massages or if you are skeptical, try to do a self-massage.
Change sleeping poses or change the pillow. Use feather pillows because they are softer and better for the neck and the head posture. Also, try memory foam pillow that will adapt to your head and neck. After a while every pillow HAS to be changed. Throw away those with hard surface or big height because they will make your situation worse and make the neck stiffer.
If you like sleeping on the side, you can prevent curving of the spine by using some good pillow, higher than the head area. When going on long trips, when you sleep, you can take travel pillow with you (like horseshoe) and you will have better support for the joints.
Less stress! This is the main reason for all health problems. Try to relax, do yoga, meditation and some similar activities.
