Google's I/O developer conference is finally here, and the company wasted no time celebrating its accomplishments.

Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, kicked off the company’s big event by making a huge (and somewhat surprising) announcement about Android usage — according to Pichai, there are now 2 billion active Android users worldwide.

Okay Google, that's impressive.
