Oscar Issac had the honor of being slapped by Carrie Fisher in 'The Last Jedi'

Leia and Poe have plenty of scenes together in The Last Jedi, including an argument during which Carrie Fisher slaps Oscar Isaac. She happily obliged the roughly 27 times they shot the scene.

"I remember Carrie just leaning in," Isaac told Stephen Colbert on Late Night With Stephen Colbert last night. 

"She was by far one of the quickest witted, funniest, most down to earth, real human beings I ever had the opportunity to work with and she does amazing work in this," Isaac says. "It was definitely a heartbreak."

Isaac also shares a delightful clip of his first starring role as a kid (directed by his dad) where he plays a monster (or vampire?) who is killed by love. Read more...
