NAJIB CAMP TRIES TO ‘PYSCHO’ THE MALAYS AS ‘MAHATHIR TO RETURN AS PM’ SPREADS LIKE WILDFIRE: ‘FORGET IT! KIT SIANG & ANWAR WILL NEVER LET DR M BE PM’ – SALLEH

Over the last few days the local and international media have been caught up in the euphoria of the so-called ‘alliance’ between Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar Ibrahim and the so-called agreement of who will be the interim Prime Minister in the event the DAP-led Pakatan Harapan wins the 14th General Election. The impression they are creating is Mahathir will be contesting the general election, probably at 93 the oldest election candidate in world history, after which he would be appointed the Prime Minister.

Mahathir must be losing track with reality if he thinks this is what is going to happen. There is no way Anwar and Lim Kit Siang are going to allow that to happen after what Mahathir did to them and to the country when he was Prime Minister, not to mention that would be political suicide for Pakatan Harapan if they face the general election promising the voters a return to Mahathirism. Has Mahathir forgotten in 2004 when the voters gave Barisan Nasional its best election result in history because they were so happy to see Mahathir go into retirement?

The offer for Mahathir to become Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister is not genuine and merely to ambil hati the old man to make him continue to attack Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. Mahathir is desperate and realises that, against the backdrop of the RCI on the Bank Negara US$10 billion forex scandal, not only is his legacy headed for doom but his political dynasty is never going to happen as well and Mukhriz has no hope of ever becoming Prime Minister. So this is the best time to exploit Mahathir’s desperation and make him increase his attacks on Najib with the promise of the post of Prime Minister.

The hypocrisy demonstrated by Pakatan Harapan is so visible only someone very ignorant cannot see this. Principles and morals no longer prevail and Pakatan Harapan will say and do anything no matter how ridiculous it is just to fool the voters into believing they have a winning formula when in reality their leadership lineup is a disaster waiting to happen. Pakatan Harapan thinks that the voters can be easily fooled and by mere deception they can win the next general election but the voters can see right through it.
