RapidKL bus driver suspended following viral video

PETALING JAYA: A RapidKL bus driver has been suspended after a video of him apparently driving recklessly went viral over social media.

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) said in a statement on Facebook today that it had identified the bus driver and placed him under suspension pending an investigation on the incident.

The video clip lasting a minute and 35 seconds, and recorded yesterday evening near an LRT station in Puchong, shows a RapidKL bus being driven on a road divider in an apparent attempt to get to the opposite side of the road.

An oncoming car can be seen coming to a halt as the bus forces its way onto that side of the road.

The bus also occupies two lanes of the road for a while, before reversing back onto the divider.

In a separate video, a car behind the bus is seen coming to a sudden stop as its driver blares the horn at the bus.

The two clips have been posted on several Facebook pages, garnering thousands of views. -FMT
