Security firm manager charged with RM2.7 million robbery

KUALA LUMPUR: A former army captain today claimed trial at the Selayang Sessions Court here to robbing RM2.74 million in cash from a strongroom at his workplace in Rawang two weeks ago.
Mohd Hafizan A Azis, 34, who was a manager at security company Securiforce’s office in Rawang, pleaded not guilty before Judge Rasyihah Ghazali.
He was charged with committing robbery at gunpoint and fleeing with RM2,747,899 in cash at Jalan Indah 1/1, Taman Industri Rawang Indah, Rawang, on May 14
If convicted, he could serve a life sentence and receive up to six strokes of the cane.
The court refused to grant bail and set June 28 for mention. -FMT
