OUT-OF-CONTROL HOOLIGANS REAR THEIR HEAD: VIDEO OF EAST COAST STALL-HOLDERS GANGING UP & BASHING BUS DRIVER GOES VIRAL

KUANTAN: East Coast Expressway (LPT) concessionaire Anih Bhd is investigating a video showing a fight at a rest stop purportedly between a group of stall staff members and an express bus driver.
The company said the incident was regrettable and it had lodged a police report over it.
“If found at fault, the appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the stall workers according to the company’s operations procedure,” ANIH Berhad said in a statement on Tuesday.
The video, which had gone viral on social media, showed a group of men beating up another man who is said to be a bus driver.
The entire group then started pummeling the bus driver until other people appeared to break up the scuffle.
The incident reportedly happened at the eastward Gambang rest stop at 1.30am Monday (DEC 24).
Anih said the staff members acted on their own will and did not represent the company’s principles.
“The company will not tolerate anyone involved in disturbing the peace and safety of visitors.
“Therefore, as the concessionaire of the LPT, which includes the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway and LPT Phase 1, the company wish to assure that users’ safety and public peace is our priority,” the company said.
