BOMBSHELL – ‘5 SABAH MPs, 7 STATE REPS JOINED BERSATU ON SAME DAY AS SEMENYIH DEFEAT’?: DON’T EXPECT MAHATHIR TO CHANGE HIS MACHIAVELLI WAYS – PAKATAN SET TO BE ROCKED BY MORE POWER TUSSLE DESPITE GROWING DISDAIN FROM THE PEOPLE WHO WANT STABILITY, GOVERNANCE

Pakatan Harapan is becoming “Putus Harapan”.

In May 2018 when Pakatan Harapan formed a new Government, based on the mandate given by the people, there was euphoria  that good times were coming for the nation.  

With time, as the dust  settled and more dirt is dug about the previous regime, it would seem the key election promises could not be implemented. 

The 100 day promise in the manifesto  has become a document to be forgotten by history –  of what should have been done.

The expectations of the people have been severely dented and the operations of the PH as a Government  has become questionable. 

Each component party has held to their grounds and in-infighting is very obvious. Ministers cannot even outline their programmes within the timeline and  keep the people updated. 

Principles have been abandoned as holders of fake degrees have been condoned and continue in their positions as though nothing has happened. 

There have been no affirmative programmes to get the Civil Service to change its outlook with the new Government. Everyone has been  pulling things their way and thus fractures  have developed, as clearly seen.

As a result of this, the people have realised that there is not much difference between the previous regime and the current one, except for the raping of the nation’s wealth. 

The cost of living is shooting its way skyward and the issue of policies and enforceability seem to be toothless. 

Economic confidence is lacking as Ministers seem preoccupied in mauling the past Goverment. 

Strangely, some of the old actors who advised the previous Government have wormed their way back, making it look as tough there is nobody else in the country capable of doing these jobs.

(OSTB : Yup. The same constipated old farts who failed to save the nation from its downslide have been appointed back to the NEAC. Nasharudin Mat Isa has been appointed to the MACCs Advisory Panel – of all things. There are 32 million people in the country and they cannot find anyone else.)

Nothing new is emerging as the preoccupation seems to be to revert to the old style of race and religion. 

The Pakatan Government may be new but their direction and outlook is the same.  

As time slips away the component parties’ representatives are acting no differently from the previous BN government. 

Perhaps with time they may do the same things that were done previously.

Unfortunately too much is expected of Tun Mahathir and yet the support he derives from PH seems to be questionable. 

The preoccupation with the 2-year rule and his successor is dragging the question of whether his position is “sabotaged” in order to embrass him to leave. Politics, after all, is the “art of making the impossible possible”. 

If PH does not gather itself and set the direction and timeline to address the fundamentals, let us bid farewell to them in advance and  state that the HOPE we had of them is just a figment of imagination that gave some temporary solace to the people.

My comments : So it is turning out to be a flash in the pan?

Something significant has also happened. Five Sabah MPs and seven of their ADUNs have joined Pribumi Bersatu yesterday.  That gives Dr Mahathir 32 MPs (??) in Bersatu.

So Dr Mahathir is now just 10 MPs short of telling the DAP where to sit.  Eight more MPs and Dr Mahathir can tell Wan Azizah and Anwar to sit in the back rows. I think this is what will happen.

Interestingly the “jumping” by the FIVE MPs from Sabah happened on the same day as the Semenyih By Election. Meaning the Semenyih By Election does not matter. What is more important was the FIVE Sabah MPs jumping yesterday.

With so many experienced Umno MPs joining Bersatu, they will overshadow all the Bersatu Ministers.  There will be a Cabinet reshuffle. But it will not take place until Dr Mahathir has at least 50 MPs on his side.  Then the super dunggus like Maszlee, Khalid Samad and even Redzuan etc may be replaced by more experienced Ministers.

The DAP will not leave the Pakatan.  Big projects are going on in the north.  Which is better –  the silver accolades or  the silver itself?

I will go for the silver – but only if it gets directly into t peoples’ hands. No 10% off. Ok?  People first. Do not lose focus.

Why would Tun Dr Mahathir want another FIVE MPs to join Bersatu – plus the other 15 (?) who have already joined earlier – if he wants to hand over the Prime Ministership to Anwar Ibrahim in two years? 

There is no written agreement about the TWO years. If there is an agreement, (dated January 2018?) then why not Rafizi Ramli show us the clause that clearly states TWO years?  There is none.

The clock that is ticking now is for the MPs who must cross over into Bersatu. And the PKR MPs who must choose between Anwar and Azmin. The choices have already been made. They need not leave PKR. They will remain inside PKR. But they will support either Azmin or Anwar. 

Until Tun Dr Mahathir gets a firm grip on Parliament, he will not be able to make Cabinet changes and make the changes that are needed.

There is a threat that Tun Dr Mahathir may not change the old policies.  Maybe try them one more time and see if the outcome will be different. 

We are in this deep trouble because of the failed policies of the past 49 years. Repeat them and the people, the Malays and Muslims, will be doomed – perhaps forever.
