Local govt minister wastes no time after cabinet appointment

KUCHING: Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian does not waste time in performing his duties as the newly-appointed minister of local government.

Yesterday, the Batu Kawah assemblyman went to inspect the road resurfacing and widening project at Jalan Ha Sha Liung/Sejijak here.

“Work on the 4.1km road is in progress. The project is funded under Rural Transformation Programme (RTP),” he said, adding that there are many other road improvement works in Batu Kawah under RTP’s Phase 1.

Dr Sim was accompanied by SUPP Batu Kawah chairman Dato Sri Tan Joo Phoi,

divisional engineers from Public Works Department (JKR) engineers and SUPP Batu Kawah leaders.
