Harrison Ford just can’t get away from ‘Indiana Jones’ theme music

Actor Harrison Ford will be back to reprise his iconic Indiana Jones character in the fifth instalment of the popular franchise. — Reuters pic LOS ANGELES, June 12 — There’s one situation that even Indy can’t get himself out of and according to Harrison Ford, it involves the theme music from the Indiana Jones franchise.

“That damn music follows me everywhere. They play it every time I walk on stage, every time I walk off a stage. It was playing in the operating room when I went in for my colonoscopy,” E! News quoted Ford as saying during a speech honouring the theme’s composer, John Williams, at the American Film Institute Life Achievement gala recently.

“I was walking down a crowded street in New York a couple of months ago and there was a big fire truck stuck in traffic that I passed in the opposite direction. Some guy leaned out of the cab and gave me one of those [Ford makes a groaning noise]. By the time I got to the end of the truck that music was blaring out of the loud speakers in the truck!”

Ford will be back for the fifth Indiana Jones adventure that’s slated for release on July 19, 2019, so that iconic tune is certainly here to stay.
