Music stars and actors alike flooded Twittersphere today with messages of condolences and support to the victims and families involved in the shooting at the crowded gay nightclub which killed at least 50 people and injuring many others.

“We stand with the people of Orlando who have endured a terrible attack on this city,” President Barack Obama was reported saying.

“Although it’s still early in the investigation, we know enough to say that this was an act of terror and an act of hate,” he said, later ordering flags at half-staff as an act of mourning.

“I am absolutely heartbroken for my hometown and the families/loved ones of the victims and all of those affected,” tweeted singer and actress Mandy Moore, who grew up in Orlando.
