If I could build an atomic bomb, I’d become ‘Iron Man’, Rafizi says
KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 ― Tickled by claims that he had threatened to bring an atomic bomb to Parliament, PKR’s Rafizi Ramli said today if he knew how to construct such a weapon, he would rather become Marvel Comics’ superhero “Iron Man” than remain a politician.
The Pandan MP noted that the fictional character behind the iron shell is really Anthony Stark, a business magnate, ingenious engineer and billionaire businessman.
“Kalau saya tahu buat bom atom, saya tak jadi ahli politik la. Saya jadi macam mamat Ironman tu: buat senjata jadi kaya raya ha3,” he wrote in a series of posts on Twitter
[Translation: If I knew how to make an atomic bomb, I wouldn’t be a politician la. I’d be like that Ironman guy: build weapons to become rich]
In a previous post, Rafizi said he was just informed that a police report had been lodged against him in Kuala Kangsar, claiming he had threatened to “bomb” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Describing the claim laughable, the lawmaker also posted a report on the matter from Umno Online.
In another tweet, the federal lawmaker imagined a scenario of him being interrogated by the police.
Kah3 saya gelak terbahak2 baca laporan polis saya suruh buat bom atom letupkan @NajibRazak.

Kah3 #bomatom,” he wrote on the microblogging site.
[Translation: I’ve been investigated by the police many times but this would be the funniest. Question from police: How does YB plan on bringing the atomic bomb into Parliament?]
In the article on Umno Online today, it was said that several Kuala Kangsar residents had lodged a police report claiming Rafizi had made a statement telling Amanah candidate, nuclear scientist Dr Ahmad Termizi Ramli, to make an atomic bomb and throw it into Parliament.
Ahmad Termizi is engaged in a four-way battle for Kuala Kangsar against Umno’s Datin Mastura Yazid, widow of the deceased incumbent, PAS’s Dr Najihatussalehah Ahmad and independent candidate Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary, a Kelantan-born.
The Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar seats, won by the Barisan Nasional (BN) in Election 2013, were declared vacant following the deaths of their MPs in a helicopter crash during the Sarawak state election last month.
Polling for both seats is on June 18.
