Opposition no match for BN in terms of policies for rakyat, Rahman Dahlan says
PUTRAJAYA, June 23 ― The opposition is not capable of competing against Barisan Nasional (BN) programmes, especially in housing because the pact comprises parties with different ideologies.
BN Strategic Communication director Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, who is also Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister, said BN’s policies in implementing programmes for the people are consistent and strong with a clear direction and working as a team.
“(BN policies) have weaknesses here and there but overall the direction of BN is for the people, other than respecting one another,” he told reporters after handing over letters of offer for the First House Deposit Financing Scheme (MyDeposit) to 40 selected recipients at his ministry here today.
He said this when asked to comment on the statement by PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man that PAS would never ever join Pakatan Harapan as long as DAP incessantly opposed the rights of Muslims.
Abdul Rahman, who explained that he was not shocked at the development, said the opposition pact, other than not announcing its new policies, was also playing politics from the start.
“They have only accusations, slanders, instigations and numerous other negative things to offer,” he added. ― Bernama
