Zac Efron in talks to join Hugh Jackman’s ‘The Greatest Showman on Earth’

Zac Efron in talks to join PT Barnum biopic ‘The Greatest Showman on Earth.’ — AFP picLOS ANGELES, June 16 — Zac Efron is in talks with Fox to join Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman on Earth, reports Variety.

The film is a biopic of the PT Barnum, with Jackman already confirmed to play the showman and founder of Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Barnum had a talent for hoaxing the public and gained fame as a 19th century impresario with tours of Tom Thumb and the singer Jenny Lind, which he began calling it the Greatest Show on Earth near the end of his career.

Fox is in negotiations with Zac Efron to join Jackman; however. the company has not commented on Efron’s possible attachment.

Michael Gracey is set to direct.

Efron can next be seen in the comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, out next month. — AFP-Relaxnews
