IF YOU’RE ON ANY OF THESE MEDICATIONS, DO NOT USE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Apple cider vinegar is considered the best remedy for numerous diseases for a good reason. It can treat anything from colds to cancer, but you should know that it can interfere with your diet or medications.IF YOU’RE ON ANY OF THESE MEDICATIONS, DO NOT USE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Here’s a list of medications which should not be mixed with ACV:

Digoxin

Digoxin is used for heart problems, but mixed with ACV it can prevent the absorption of potassium resulting in increase of the side-effects of Lanoxin. The side-effects include vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, vision problems and mood swings.

Diuretics

Diuretics such as Lasix, Diuril, Thalitone or Microzide are used to prevent bloating and stimulate flushing out water from the body. As you probably already know, potassium is vital for keeping the water balance in the body, but consuming ACV will stop the mineral absorption and dehydrate your body, effectively reducing the effects of the drugs.

Insulin

People who suffer from diabetes control their blood sugar levels by insulin shots, but consuming ACV during the same period can lead to low blood sugar levels as well as low potassium levels.

ACV should be avoided by pregnant women, bladder cancer patients and postmenopausal women as well.

Although beneficial, apple cider vinegar can harm you if you’re on the aforementioned drugs, which is why you need to stay away from it during the treatment.
