DEADER THAN DEAD: MOYOG REP TERENCE SIAMBUN DEALS PKR ANOTHER BLOW, TO JOIN SHAFIE’S NEW PARTY WITH LEIKING
KOTA KINABALU – Moyog assemblyman Terence Siambun is expected to follow Penampang MP Darell Leiking’s decision to quit PKR, dealing another blow to the party in Sabah.
It is believed that the first-term assemblyman has already submitted his resignation to the party.
When contacted, Siambun told The Star that he would “make an announcement at the appropriate time”.
The Moyog state seat is under the Penampang Parliament constituency.
Leiking and Siambun are both expected to join former Umno vice president Datuk Seri Shafie Apadal’s new Sabah-based party.
PKR won seven state seats and two MP seats in Sabah in the 2013 general election.
However, three PKR assemblymen – Jeremy Majalad (Kadamaian), Datuk Jelani Hamdan (Matunggong) and Datuk WilfredBumburing (Tamparuli) – have already quit the party. – ANN
