Chinese Man Proposes With 99 Containers of Smelly Seafood, Totally Nails It

Determined to win his girlfriend’s hand, a guy in China proposed with 99 containers of her favorite crayfish.

The proposal took place on Thursday night in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, Sina reported.

The man, a recent graduate, laid all 99 containers on the floor in the shape of a heart and spelling the word “LOVE” on top.

When the pair got inside the heart, the guy dropped on his knee with a bouquet of flowers and confessed (via Shanghaiist):

“I’ve just graduated this year. I don’t have the money to buy you a car or a home, but I have a heart that will follow you to the ends of the earth.”

To the excitement of onlookers, the girl said yes to the man she’s been with for seven years.

It is unknown, however, whatever happened to the crayfish after the heartfelt proposal.

If anything, this Romeo’s success proves that seafood, like cars and cash, are better tokens for proposal than ill-fitting rings and funeral flowers.
