Beer Festival : Dr Maza Sila Jelaskan Maksud 'tattakhizoona minhu sakaran warizkan hasanan.."
I believe the following is from a Malay WhatsApp group - possibly Kelantanese or civil service type group. I do not know who the writer is other than 'moderator' mentioned below.
These are some comments about the time wasting beer festival issue. My comments in blue . Here goes :
"Let me just make it CLEAR especially to any and ALL my fellow Malays and MUSLIMS in this CCWM Page about my stance in regards to the 'Beer Festival'!
As a Malay and Muslim, I feel embarrassed that WE want to play the GUARDIANS of MORALITY for OTHER Races and Religions when we as Malays and Muslims have FAILED in taking care of our OWN Malays and Muslims.
- We have 12 year olds already addicted to drugs like 'Syabu' and committing arson and murder.
- We have so many cases of 'Mat Rempits', Infanticide or 'Buang Bayi' every year
- our LEADERS are corrupted
- their children spend Millions at Casinos in Vegas
- make a scene at a Night Club in Singapore
- Steal BILLIONS
yet now we want to play MORAL POLICE and GUARDIANS towards OTHER races and religions when we have FAILED to take care of our OWN????
Please lah my fellow Malays, get a mirror and take a good LOOK at your SELVES lah.
Please lah my fellow Malays, get a mirror and take a good LOOK at your SELVES lah.
Better still, TRY for once and take a look at ourselves through the eyes of OTHER races and Religions in our country, THEN you'll get a clearer view.
WHO are 'we' to IMPOSE our moral standards and values upon OTHERS?
WHO are 'we' to IMPOSE our moral standards and values upon OTHERS?
Even the Quran said there is NO COMPULSION, so what are we doing?
Take care of our OWN first before we meddle into the affairs of others...
Take care of our OWN first before we meddle into the affairs of others...
I am deeply EMBARRASSED as a Malay and a Muslim for the behaviours of a LOT of Malays, many coming from PAS who entered here, others who are influenced or have NO Non-Muslim friends or relatives. Being labelled a 'Liberal' just because I see things from a DIFFERENT perspective. This was NOT even our Prophets way as faith and belief CANNOT be forced unto a person...
Even ALLAH SWT can only WARN Adam NOT to eat the forbidden fruit or to trust Satan, but Trust and Faith is not something that comes instantly like that, it must be learnt and that is WHY we were sent and brought down HERE to Earth...to LEARN to have faith and trust. For even trusting and to have faith in people requires effort and for it to be earned. (OSTB comment : This para is a little cloudy bro.)
Some of the more ignorant Malays and Muslims who have NO Non-Muslim relatives or friend view this as a victory, when I see this as a DEFEAT, and a win for bigotry, fascism and ignorance.
You won't WIN over respect towards your FAITH nor your Race by FORCING your values unto others.
And I DON'T mind making my stand for what I believe is right and wrong, even if it means 'removing' more racist and Religious Bigots from this Page..
NO ONE likes other people's values being SHOVED down their throats just the same way SOME extreme Vegetarians or Vegans may come up to you and tell you to STOP eating meat and that you're killing animals and doing it in such an extreme manner.
We are the 'majority' as Malays and Muslims, we must not be BULLIES.

In order for us and our Religion to be respected we must EARN it by respecting others rights as well and learn where NOT meddle when it's NONE of our business.
So far the ONLY word we as Malays sadly have learnt after decades under UMNO Barisan Nasional's 'DIVIDE AND CONQUER' rule is merely 'TOLERANCE', but tolerance is NOT the same as 'respecting' one another. We can only respect one another if we KNOW each-other.
And from THIS issue, it's pretty obvious, we don't KNOW each-other's perspectives and point of views.
On this respect, we here in Peninsular LOSE OUT to those in East Malaysia - Sabah & Sarawak and have MUCH to learn from them.
Some wanted to relate alcohol consumption to the question of 'MORALITY', I DARE you to say that to East Malaysians during their Gawai and Kaamatan Festivals. There's a LOT of Merry Making 'Aramaiti' going on then along with the drinking, don't SEE ANY 'immoral' behaviors going on then every year during these Festivals.
But then again, HOW are 'WE' Malays and Muslims in Peninsular going to KNOW that right? Especially when WE ourselves DON'T have ANY close NON-Muslim friend or relatives?
I stand firm by my point-of-view in this matter as a Malay and a Muslim.

My comments :
Here is a viral video that shows the Palestinian town of Tayyebeh hosting the Oktoberfest Beer Festival. Tayyebeh is near the city of Ramallah.
Here is the link : https://youtu.be/B9NCTkyKAKQ
So how does Dr Maza and his look-alikes explain this?
Here they are collecting donations in the masjids and suraus for the Tabung Jihad Palestin, Tabun Palesting and so on while the Palestinians are busy hosting the Oktoberfest Beer Festival near Ramallah? Fuiyyo.
BIG BIG DISCLAIMER :
- I AM NOT SAYING THAT WE SHOULD ALL GO OUT AND HOST BEER FESTIVALS.
- DONT GET ME WRONG.
- MY POINT IS BODOH MEMANG SUDAH BODOH.
- ITU SUDAH CONFIRM.
- TAPI TOLONG JANGAN TUNJUK SANGAT BODOH.
Bukankah orang Palestin itu orang Arab?
Sama bangsa dan bahasa dengan nabi.
Habis macam mana pula orang Melayu nak lebih pandai agama daripada orang Arab sendiri?
The issue here has nothing to do with Islam.
The issue here is simply "ketuanan".
It is a show of power.
"We are in charge. We can tell you what you can and cannot do."
That is all.
Siapa nak minum, minum saja.
Percubaan melarang Beer Festival hanya satu 'show of power' atau untuk menunjuk 'ketuanan'. Saya boss.
Bukan semua duit mereka hangus meminum beer. Jadi mungkin orang lain merasa sakit hati.
Satu lagi soalan ya Ustaz, "tapai" pula macam mana?
Identification of alcoholic compounds in fermented glutinous rice (Tapai).
Abdul Hamid, N. H. and M. Hashim, D. and Mustafa, S. and Che Man, Yaakob (2009)
Identification of alcoholic compounds in fermented glutinous rice (Tapai).
3rd IMT-GT International Symposium on Halal Science and Management 2009, 21-22 Dec. 2009, KLIA, Sepang, Selangor.
Abstract
Fermented glutinous rice (tapai) is a popular dessert amongst Malaysian consumers. However, consumption of tapai has given rise to Halal issues to the Muslim community since its alcohol content is similar to beer which is 5 %.

Fuiyyo.
Suatu masa dulu, ya ustaz pernah "haramkan" Woodwards Gripe Water for Baby's atas sebab Gripe Water itu mengandungi hanya 2% alkohol.
Janganlah perasan sangat jika orang lain kata ya ustaz hipokrit.
laa takraboo solaata - jangan kamu hampiri solat
wa antum sukaaraa - sambil kamu dalam keadaan mabuk
hatta ta'lamoo - sehingga kamu boleh faham
maa ta'quloon - apa yang kamu bercakap.
Dalam Bahasa Inggeris nya :
4:43 O you who have believed, do not approach salat while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying
Inilah ayatnya Surah 16:67 :
Surah 16:67
"And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicants and good provisions. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who reason."
From the palm fruits and grapes you make intoxicants (membuat daripadanya yang memabukkan) !!
"tattakhizoona minhu SAKARAN WA RIZKAN HASANAN WA RIZKAN HASANAN" atau maksudnya "From the palm fruits and grapes you make intoxicants and good provisions.."
WA RIZKAN HASANAN maksudnya REZEKI YANG BAIK.
Saya minta penjelasan dari ya Ustaz.
2. Jika ayat ini ditujukan kepada orang bukan Islam pula apakah maksudnya orang bukan Islam pula dibenarkan "make intoxicants and good provisions" ??
Sila jelaskan. Sekian terima kasih.
