Temporary water disruption in Klang, Shah Alam and Petaling

Repair work is expected to be fully completed in 48 hours, following which water supply will be restored in stages.

KUALA LUMPUR: Several areas in Klang, Shah Alam and Petaling will experience a disruption in water supply from 10pm today, following a burst in the main pipeline behind the JVC factory site in Section 21, Shah Alam.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd in a statement said the ongoing repair work was expected to take 48 hours to be fully completed.

“The water supply will be restored in stages after the repair work is completed,” it said.

Among the affected areas in Klang and Shah Alam are Section 21, Section 26, Batu 3 Shah Alam, Bukit Kemuning, Jalan Kebun, Section 33, Bandar Putera, Taman Samanrinda and Taman Desa Kemuning.

In Petaling, among the affected areas are USJ 1 until USJ 15; USJ 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D; Subang Heights, Taman Perindustrian UEP TP1 until TP7; Putera Avenue and Putra Setia.

Consumers can request for water supply aid by sending an SMS to 15300 (type: Tanker Name and Address).-FMT
