The trend has now reached American shores, with some already cashing in. In Hawaii, a bridal company called Halelokahi created its own designs to the delight of kimono-aficionados everywhere.

Halelokahi’s Mami Ogiwara told Hawaii News Now, “We want to keep the tradition alive as much as possible.”
