Police have classified death of mother and two sons as murder
KUCHING, July 20 — The discovery of three bodies, believed to be that of a mother and her two sons at an unnumbered house in Kampung Baru, Kota Samarahan last night, has been classified as murder.
Sarawak CID chief SAC Dev Kumar M.M. Sree Shunmugam said the case was earlier classified as sudden death.
He said their bodies had been sent to the Sarawak Hospital for post-mortem.
“We will go through the post-mortem report to ensure whether there were elements of crime,” he said when contacted, today.
Last night, both the boys, aged seven and four year were found in their bedroom with the older one already dead and the other in critical condition but was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.
An opened bottle of bleaching liquid ‘Clorox’ was also found in the bedroom, believed to have been given to the boys.
The body of a 37-year old woman believed to be their mother was found hanging in the toilet of the house. — Bernama
