Four shots for motorcycle thief recidivist

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Special Team of City Police forced to shoot a motor vehicles thief recidivist for resisting when captured, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“Three times we fired warning shots but the actor keep fighting and had been shot because he was wrestling with officers in the scene,” said Deputy Chief of Banjarmasin City Police AKBP Wahyu Dwi Ariwibowo on Thursday.

He said that the offender was a motorcycle theft recidivist identified as Amrullah alias Fullah (26), resident of Jl Belitung Darat, Gang Lantera, West Banjarmasin.

Fullah known to have been five times jailed with the same case. He started doing the action while still a child.

The arrest of Fullah made on Monday (11/4) afternoon, around 14:00 pm in the Jalan Antasan Kecil Barat, Central Banjarmasin.

The Special Team then developed the case and managed to secure five motorcycles stolen by the offender from five different scenes in the city. The evidences secured among were Honda Scoopy DA 6163 ABY, Honda Vario DA VN 6866.

Also one unit of Suzuki Skydrive KH 5180 BO, Suzuki Satria F DA 4557 YQ, a Honda Beat DA 6754 ABD.

After the investigation, the offender charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code On Theft is punishable in over seven years.
