Atas donates computer in effort to detect TB

KUCHING: The Association of Anti-Tuberculosis Sarawak (Atas) donated a computer to the State Health Department yesterday.

The computer will be placed at the Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching to read Tuberculosis (TB) scans.

Currently, the State Health Department has a mobile bus equipped to check and scan for TB for people living in the rural areas.

The vehicle has travelled around Sarawak to check for this communicable disease and its last station was Lawas.

After the medical staff complete the health check and scan, they will then send the data to the computer at SGH to determine the results.

Present at the handing over ceremony were Atas president Datin Louise Luncha Kanyan and State Health director Datu Dr Zulkifli Jantan.
