KUALA LUMPUR: It was a dream come true for the country’s number one songstress Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin when the Indian music maestro, A. R. Rahman, visited her at home recently.

Siti Nurhaliza, 36, had uploaded several pictures of her with the Oscar winner and ‘Jai Ho’ composer for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, on her Facebook and Instagram accounts.

“Masya Allah… nak pengsan.. (My God… I almost fainted) My music idol was willing to come to my home. AR Rahman. My dream came true..Thank You Allah SWT,” she said in both her social media accounts last night.

Rahman was in Malaysia for his live concert at the Merdeka Stadium on Saturday night.

It was reported that the maestro had mesmerised the 20,000 audience members by performing his numerous hits from the 1990s up to his latest dedicated to legendary Brazillian footballer, ‘Pele: Birth of a Legend’.

Siti had also hinted on the possibility of working together with the composer in future and asking her fans to pray for it.

“Music legend. Insya Allah (If it is God’s will), that will be the next plan later, do pray,” she said.

The pop diva had recorded and performed a song composed by Rahman entitled ‘Nenje Ezhu’ for the International Superstar 2015 programme by Astro in August last year.

Rahman, 49, is a music icon, not just in India but all over the world.

He has bagged numerous international recognitions and awards, including the Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
