Dallas Nagata White, 4th generation Japanese-American and avid artist, was born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. Dallas Nagata White is an artist who was born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. She spent most of her childhood hiking around Haleakala National Park and drawing in her notebooks.

After attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa to study art, she worked as a fashion and lifestyle photographer for several years. However, because she loves pop-culture, video games, comics, and movies, she began photographing cosplayers in her professional style, and also began to make her own costumes as well.

She is currently in school again to study fashion design, with aspirations to eventually have her own fashion label inspired by science fiction and fantasy. Dallas currently lives on Oahu, Hawaii with her husband, Edward White and their dog Kodachrome, an adorable Japanese Spitz.

She spends her time photographing a little bit of everything—landscapes, fashion, portraits, editorials, cosplay, and travel photography whenever possible. She enjoys sewing, painting, playing video games, and having adventures outdoors.

Currently, her work is focused on cosplay photography and sewing cosplay, as well as illustrations. “I have so many ideas in my head every single day, that I do all sorts of things to try to get them out of my head and into the world.  For cosplay photography, I like to recreate the spirit of the character I am photographing, but I also like to have fun with it.” 

We are huge fans of this Princess Doggonoke Cosplay and can’t wait to see what’s next from the pair!
