Government will "rationalise expenditure" in Budget 2018 — Johari

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 3): The government will be prudent in its expenditure in the National Budget 2018 to stretch every ringgit spent, said second finance minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani.

"The Prime Minister has promised that there will be no tax increase, so we will work out the Budget within those parameters," Johari told reporters following the closing ceremony of the Khazanah Megatrends forum here today.

The national Budget 2018 is expected to be tabled on Oct 27.
