Sarawak State Elections: CM announces SUPP candidates
KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem announced 10 candidates to run in the upcoming state elections in 10 seats at 2.20pm today (Apr 6).
The 10 Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) candidates include Datuk Senator Dr Sim Kui Hian for Batu Kawah, Peter Pau (Padungan), Wilfred Yap (Kota Sentosa), Milton Foo (Pending), Sebastian Ting (Piasau), Sih Hua Tong (Batu Lintang), Lee Kim Shin (Senadin), Lo Khere Chiang for Batu Kitang, Chieng Buong Toon for Bukit Assek and Francis Harden for Simanggang.
Adenan will announce Repok candidate on Friday (Apr 8) when he visits the area tomorrow or the next day.
Meanwhile, SUPP recommended Adam Yii for Pujut and Michael Tiang for Pelawan, who were present prior to the press conference but did not stay. They were not named candidates.
No members from UPP had been spotted as of 2pm today.
