Police have detained another individual in connection with a molotov cocktail being hurled into the compound of a surau in Damansara Damai on Sunday morning.

This brings the total number of suspects detained to three.

According to Star Online, the third suspect was picked up around 7pm yesterday.

Petaling Jaya district police chief Mohd Zani Che Din, who confirmed the arrest, said that police are trying to get a remand order for the detainee.

Yesterday, it was reported that the beer bottle containing flammable substance had landed near the surau entrance, causing a fire to break out.

Nobody was injured in the incident. At the time, there was a congregation of 20 performing subuh prayers at the surau. - Mkini
