DAP David Wong retains Pelawan seat

SIBU: Incumbent David Wong from Democratic Action Party (DAP) retained his Pelawan seat with a reduced majority of 4,314 votes.

Wong garnered 13,056 votes against direct BN candidate Janet Lau with 8,742 votes and State Reform Party (STAR) candidate Priscilla Lau who only garnered 597 votes.

The total voters turnout was 70.2 percent while there were 174 spoilt votes and 59 unreturned votes.
